CARE OF YOUR XPLORER, XPEDITION, XCURSION and V-MAX WOODY DURA-LITE WOODY ABS/POLYCARBONATE HARD SHELL BOARD

1) Minimize exposure to sun when not in use on the water. Do not leave your board uncovered on docks, boats, roof racks, beach or lawn for prolonged periods of time.
2) If indoor storage is not available, cover with silver/grey poly tarp to provide shade and prevent UV/excess heat exposure. Keep tarp open at each end, so hot air can circulate and ventilate.
3) We recommend use of our Deluxe Board Bag, to protect your board from damage when not in use. To encourage use of board bag, we offer $150 discount on board bag when ships with board order.
4) Do not lean boards against items without adequate protection, especially where it is breezy ie Dock racks (need pads on bars and rack), side of buildings, trees, fences, other boards, etc. This can affect the graphic outer layer of your board.
5)
Proper board care / maintenance is your responsibility, and is required to maintain warranty. Inspect your board regularly. E-mail support@cruisersup.com with photos if you note damage to your board, so we can assess and recommend repair. Do not use your board before repaired.

EXCESSIVE HEAT and SUN WARNING

Warning Labels

Do not expose your SUP board or board bag to excessive heat or sunlight when not in use. Whenever you are not using your SUP board (either during storage or transport to/from the beach) particular care and attention should be made to protect the board and bag from the excessive sun and heat.

THIS APPLIES ESPECIALLY TO BOARDS WITH BLACK PAINT, CLEAR CARBON, CLEAR WOOD AND DARK WOODY SHELL

Deluxe board bag is not designed for extended strong UV exposure (We suggest inexpensive poly tarp over board bag, when stored long term on boats, docks, decks and lawns).

Excessive exposure to the sun and/ or heat can result in the following unavoidable and undesirable consequences, particularly to the hull and deck pad when out of the water, which can become :

  • Distorted in size and/or quality.
  • Unstuck from the board.
  • Significant fading of color.

Do not leave your board in the the bubble wrap that it ships in. Once you receive your board, immediately remove it from the bubble wrap. Bubble wrap can cause the board to heat up excessively.

These undesirable consequences are not covered under Warranty as they are due to a user or storage problem, and not related to the manufacturing or material quality of your product.

WARNING!!!

EXERCISE CAUTION WHEN SURFING.

ALWAYS WEAR A LEASH.

Paddle and surf in locations within your ability.

MAINTAIN CONTROL OF YOUR BOARD IN BREAKING WAVES.

MANUFACTURER WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ABUSE OR IMPACT DAMAGE.

EXCLUDED FROM Warranty COVERAGE

Reasons for exclusion from warranty may include (but are not limited to):

    • Boards that show impact or abuse, damage due to heat exposure including but not limited to direct sun exposure, extended amount of time in a car, board bag, etc.
    • Heel or compression dents
    • Previous repairs
    • Broken boards
    • Boards with signs of improper care or handling, or boards with repaired damage.
    • Incidental damage
    • Boards purchased at wholesale pricing, or retail pricing for commercial use have a 30 day limited warranty
    • Unreasonable use
    • Board bags left in sun for extended periods of time. Place a poly tarp over board bag if stored in sun for extended periods of time. Ensure proper venting to avoid excessive heat in board bag.
    • Boards that are left in bubble wrap after boards received.
    • Boards stored in un-vented board bags when in hot sun (open zipper so bag can vent)
    • Damage to cosmetic rail guards/bumpers on X-Series polycarbonate shell boards. Exercise caution when storing, transporting and handling boards on beach, to avoid damage to rail guards. (ie don't drag board across beach)
    • Do not run aground, hit stones of any size or underwater hazards with your board. Dismount board in the water and not on the beach or shore.
    • DO NOT SIT OR STAND ON YOUR BOARD, WHEN ON THE GROUND AND FIN INSTALLED. THIS CAN DAMAGE THE FIN BOX.
  • FIN IMPACT DAMAGE WARNING
Be careful to avoid impact with stones and submerged items - they can break the fin or fin boxes. Do not run the board onto the beach - dismount before the nose touches the beach.
