Board Construction

Dura-Air Technology

V-Drop Stitch Material
Construction Image

The Dura-Air construction features V-Drop Stitch Material, which is a durable PVC. On the inside, thousands of nylon threads connect the deck with the bottom of the board to keep it in a functional and performing shape. Utilizing the best drop-stitch material available on the market, this newly developed technology provides a perfect ratio of durability, weight and price.

Built using specially produced, high density drop stitch that makes for a stronger and stiffer core. Take a look on the outside of a Cruiser SUP Dura-Air board and you will see thousands of dimples spread from nose to tail and rail to rail. Each dimple represents an internal thread. We do not use Linear drop stitch which is a mass produced, cheap material that cannot hold high pressure. Linear boards can be identified by the straight lines of dimples on the board.

All our boards are made with the latest PVC Drop stitch fabrics. The fabric filaments between the two PVC layers surfaces are assembled to the PVC itself, by new Cruiser SUP Dura-Air Technology. Offering the best bond between the fabric filaments and the PVC surface layers; this secures a high stress durability over a long time frame. These special new Cruiser SUP Dura-Air fabrics are the only fabrics that have been tested to be able to withstand up to 43 psi inflation pressure and can be normally used with an average of 15 to 20 psi inflating pressure. Higher pressure means stiffer boards, that can hold their original shape at all times, thus preventing shape deformation, and thereby delivering better performance in all conditions.

In addition to these special drop stitch fabrics, the boards are heat laminated with an extra Heavy Duty full layer PVC woven marine grade fabric on the deck and bottom, so that the Dura-Air boards are both strong and durable, prevent the shape "twisting" and maintain the rocker line, as originally designed.

First timer

I've only had my paddleboard about a month, but I love it already! I'm still new to paddleboarding, but I find it so relaxing, while also being a good workout. I was very impressed with the quality of the product itself. I wasn't sure an inflatable would be sturdy enough, but once it's inflated you can't even tell it's not a solid board. I mainly paddleboard from the back of my boat and it didn't take me very long to learn to mount and dismount from the swim platform. Inflating and deflating is much easier and faster than I expected also. Overall, it's has been an amazing experience and I look forward to many years of fun and fitness.

New to Inflatables

I am relatively new to paddle boards, but decided to take a risk and go with the inflatable model. I am extremely pleased! Board is rigid and rides smooth. The only thing I would change is that I did not get the electric pump. Not a huge deal, but it can be a pain, unless you want a sick bicep pump before paddling! For reference I'm not a small guy: 5'10" 200lb powerlifter.

Love my paddle board!!

I love my inflateable paddle board. It is stable and sturdy. The customer service is phenomenal!! Glenn is so easy to work with and able to answer all of my questions. I spoke to him 3x in a ten minute time span and was extremely patient with all of my concerns. Would definitely buy from Paddle Board Direct again!!

Cruiser SUP Crossover Air SL

I purchased this item after shopping for weeks for the ideal board at the right price. Because of all the 5 star reviews for this board and the customer service, I bought the Crossover Air SL. The board is perfect because I use it on the lake where I live. It has great stability even in choppy water, is manageable on land (the weight is right and the bag has wheels). The only problem with the board is that the fin is initially difficult to "set" in place. The more I use it, the easier it is to attach it, but the instructions do warn about this. Also, I would recommend an electric pump to anyone with an SUP because getting the board to the 15-17 PSI using the manual pump is really tough. There was a power outage while running my credit card and the company immediately contacted me and were very helpful sorting it all out. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and the customer service!
